Rachel Burghen is a singer/ songwriter actress from South Jersey.  She began her music journey singing in nursing homes that her grandmother would bring her to as a young girl. She studied musical theater at Rowan College of South Jersey, Walnut Street Theater and Media Theater and started performing in musical theater productions in 2010. Favorite roles include Marian "The Music Man", Julie "Carousel", Amalia " She Loves Me", Cosette "Les Miserables', "Fiona "Brigadoon", Maria "The Sound of Music", Mother "Ragtime, Laurey "Oklahoma", Nellie "South Pacific, Sarah, "Guys and Dolls" Guenevere "Camelot" and Lily "The Secret Garden".  During covid she went back to her roots and brought music to nursing homes, singing outside to small distanced groups or outside the residents windows.  Her songwriting journey began in 2023 and connected her with her childhood idol, country music legend Bryan White, who produced her first 5 singles and appeared in her first music video!  She is currently working on an album that she hopes to release in the near future.  "Music has been the most powerful and healing force I have ever known.  It helped me through some of my darkest times and speaks to the heart like words alone never could.  My hope is that my music can touch other hearts and make them feel seen."
